If you haven’t gotten on the chia-seed train yet, then it’s not too late! The little black gems that look like poppy seeds are high in protein, fiber, calcium, antioxidants, and omega-3s. They have a crunchy texture when eaten dry but become gelatinous when soaked. I mix chia-seeds in with oatmeal, cereal or smoothies.
